Where I’ve been, where I’m going

So many major life happenings, so little time to write about them. Seems I’ve actually been doing all the things I had been writing about the past few months. About time, too.

One reason I love to keep a blog is to go back and re-read what I said, how I felt, where I was. These entries are like tiny little time capsules of me and my process. I think keeping track of where we’ve been should be mandatory for being human. Perhaps then we’d all have a better idea of where we’re going.

Speaking of which, I’m going to go home in a few hours. Yes, home. To MY house. The one I purchased 2 months ago, for me.

The living room, still unfinished, but comfy.

Now that I’m living in my own home, I had to think hard about getting a pet. Well, not so hard, afterall … I’ve only been wanting one for YEARS…

Yes, I’m starting to allow myself have all the things I’ve been wanting for so long. Two down, 9,998 left to go. I figure I’ll work on attaining enduring romantic love and creating a lifetime of renewable wealth next.

I live alone now and at times it gets lonely (gasp!). Although, I kind of relish this little fear, knowing how temporary it is, how unnecessary it is, it’s complete humanness. Echo is a help and purrs me back into the realization that this is comfort, this quiet. And then I remember, all too clearly, the alternative and where I was 6 months ago. That’s when I say a prayer of thanks.

I’ll get to the dirty details of where I’ve been in the coming days, now that I remembered this blog :) Until then, I’m going to go back and review my past entries, I’m always up for a good laugh.
